What does the term "Registrar Lock" mean?

This is a safety feature that prevents your domain name from being transferred away from your current registrar to another registrar without your knowledge and permission. If you are attempting to transfer a name away from our registrar, aletianic.com, this lock must be removed prior to starting the transfer.
